About Jerry Bucklin

Jerry Bucklin is responsible for jointly developing NES, Inc.’s (NES’) environmental compliance services and managing its business operation activities. With over 40 years of experience providing quality programs and customized solutions, he also utilizes his expertise to provide program development and instructs many of the technical courses offered by NES. His operational expertise, specialized experience, training background, regulatory knowledge, and industry management prowess enable him to provide both public and private agencies with advice and services that match their unique needs.

Jerry continues to provide hazardous waste management, hazardous material transportation, and environmental consulting services to a broad spectrum of governmental and private industry agencies. He also serves as an environmental consultant and company-specific compliance guidance document author for several of the largest utility companies in California. He has authored numerous publications on hazardous waste characterization, disposal, and clandestine laboratory safety operations.

In addition to his many contributions to the NES team, Jerry is a leading trainer on the hazards of illicit drug labs. He has participated in emergency response operations at over 300 illicit drug labs and has presented clandestine laboratory safety training to over 125,000 narcotics officers in 11 countries across the globe. He continues to serve as the compliance training instructor for the U.S. Department of Justice, multiple military installations, and selected private companies throughout the United States.

Jerry is a past Chairman of the Association of Official Analytical Chemists (AOAC) Annual Lab Waste Disposal Symposium and has served on the advisory board for the Environmental Auditing Certificate Program at U.C. Davis. He has also instructed at International Science Symposiums on Hazardous Waste issues for the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, AOAC, and the U.S. Department of Justice. He has taught selected courses in hazardous material and waste management at five University of California campuses since 1986 and has been a Plenary Speaker and Keynote Speaker at National Conferences since 2005.
