This webinar provides an overview of the basics regarding the management of commonly generated universal wastes in the state of California. The program covers requirements for universal waste items such as batteries, lamps, and aerosol cans. The presentation also briefly discusses items similar to universal wastes that are managed under exemptions including lead-acid batteries.
This webinar is designed to ensure employees and facility managers are familiar with the on-site management requirements (e.g., marking and containerizing), shipping requirements, and record retention requirements for generators. The regulations are applicable to all generators of universal wastes, therefore the material covered in this course applies to all categories of generators: large quantity generators (LQGs), small quantity generators (SQGs), and very small quantity generators (VSQGs).
Additional time will be taken at the conclusion of the presentation to allow for any questions attendees may have. Course completion certificates will be available upon request.
