Who Should Attend
The 10-hour class is intended for entry level construction industry workers, while the 30-hour class is more appropriate for supervisors or workers with some safety responsibility.

Objectives
To prevent safety and health hazards encountered at a construction site and to educate workers on their rights as employees.

Overview
Construction industry workers and employers attending this 10-hour class will receive basic awareness training from an OSHA authorized outreach program trainer on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards related to a construction site. Course participants will be provided with information regarding workers’ rights, employer responsibilities, and filing a complaint. Students will receive a course completion card.

Note: this program is voluntary in the state of California and does not meet the training requirements for any OSHA standards, though several U.S. states and some contractors, municipalities, and other entities do require its successful completion.
