Construction industry workers and employers attending this 30-hour class will receive training from an OSHA authorized outreach program trainer on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards related to a construction site. Course participants will be provided with information regarding workers’ rights, employer responsibilities, and filing a complaint. Students will receive a course completion card.
This course is designed to help prevent occupational incidents by increasing awareness of and familiarity with safety and health hazards encountered at a construction site and to educate workers on their rights as employees.
Who Should Attend
The 30-hour training program is intended for construction industry supervisors and workers with some safety responsibility. The course incorporates a greater depth and variety of training than is provided by the 10-hour class.
Note: this program is voluntary in the state of California and does not meet the training requirements for any OSHA standards, though several U.S. states and some contractors, municipalities, and other entities do require its successful completion.
