Brian Luci

Environmental Health & Safety Instructor

Brian Luci is an Environmental Health & Safety Instructor for NES, Inc. (NES). He has over 33 years of comprehensive experience in environmental compliance and occupational health and safety concepts and programs. He has a master’s degree in Education, Adult Education & Training and a master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Energy Management.

Mr. Luci spent 20 years in the U.S. Air Force where he occupied a diverse array of positions in the fuels career field. While serving as Quality Control Officer he was responsible for regulatory compliance and the day-to-day safety of over 100 individuals. Additionally, Mr. Luci supervised fuel laboratory operations where he also developed and enforced occupational safety and health standards. He played an integral part in base-wide emergency response and hazardous material cleanup exercises, and during his tenure as Training Manager he oversaw rotational, upgrade, and familiarization training as well as confined space and environmental compliance programs. As Operations Superintendent he was responsible for all facets of logistics and environmental safety for Fuels Management Flight personnel, a performance of duties that culminated in the Flight winning the coveted American Petroleum Institute Award for Best Fuels Management Flight in the U.S. Air Force, 2008.

Further past experience includes serving as Operations Manager for one of the largest providers of underground storage tank (UST) environmental compliance testing in the world. There he oversaw compliance and post-construction testing of UST petroleum and fuel systems across eight states, managed the review of test reports, and initiated corrective actions when needed. Mr. Luci has also worked at refined petroleum throughput facilities where he maintained operational safety procedures and conducted product quality control and analysis; he has developed comprehensive training plans that have been benchmarked and implemented nationwide.
